René Drouet and Pierre Adrien Ekman Art deco lacquered cabinet 1938
-
Description
Unique Art deco storage cabinet in dark green lacquer made in 1938 from a collaboration between René Drouet and Pierre Adrien Ekman. It features four central niches and two painted mirror doors decorated by Ekman. Pierre Adrien Ekman was a very talented artist working in France, collaborating mainly with René Drouet and René Prou. Eventually Ekman was honored with “Ekman: Décors”, an exhibition in 1975 at Musée Denon. This cabinet is a perfect example of the lavish Art Deco era in France, and a true masterpiece. It has been fully restored, and is found in a great condition.
