True Mid-Century Classic Inlaid Rosewood Walnut Credenza Cabinet by Stanley USA
-
Description
This is a superb Mid-Century Modern credenza or sideboard by Stanley. It is mostly walnut with geometric rosewood inlays on the fronts and has turned aluminum pulls. The lower cabinet has one shelf on the left and three drawers on the right, the top one with flatware dividers. Upper cabinet has two sliding doors and two drawers. This superstructure is mounted on an enameled iron frame, so this display cabinet rests on the lower cabinet with open frame ending in capped legs. Super architectural, practical and great looking too!
Currently there are a couple missing aluminum caps on the feet/legs which I will fabricate and install upon purchase. There are no breaks or repairs. All doors/drawers work well. All interior spaces showing normal signs of light use. The original has a warm patina with minor and hard to see areas on sun-fading. The stain-sheen finish is clean and the wood has a warm and even patina. A time-capsule clean & original piece from an upscale Victorian home in Jersey City, with a great view of NYC. -
