Mid-Century Modern Sideboard / Credenza, Red Lacquered and Ebony Lacquered , Kagan Style, Lucite Base
One of a Kind, Rare and Important Vintage custom made credenza finished with a high-gloss black lacquer case and beautifully done red faux tortoise finish on each of the bi-fold doors. The entire piece sits on a custom T-shaped Lucite base and each door has an original Lucite pull. Vladimir Kagan was famous for using Lucite to give designs a floating appearance. If one wants to light up a room and own a conversation piece to build around, this is the piece.
Originally made to wall mount or sit on the sturdy Lucite base. The beige lacquered interior is fitted with 11 drawers/compartments making these piece extremely functional. This piece can be used in the dining room as a sideboard or credenza as well as any bedroom setting as a large dresser.
