Description
The carved shell on the prospect door of this desk is a fine example of Lancaster craftmanship and reflects a distinctive Germanic interpretation of the Philadelphia rococo style. The construction of the desk relates closely to schranks from the shop of Johannes Bachman. Condition: patches to the original feet, brass hardware is period replacement based on original witness marks.
