Description
One of a small group of related cases from northern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, most often housing movements by clockmaker Adam Brant of New Hanover. Others have movements by Jacob Beideman and Griffith Owen. All feature bold proportions and distinctive details--including a turtle-shape base panel and deeply carved rosettes that face downward toward the viewer. This example features a dry old finish. Excellent condition; small repairs to the feet and finials.
