Batistin Spade (1891-1969). Veneered on all sides, supported by four tapered square legs with gilded bronze details and a front drawer, this trapezoidal shape secretary opens with a floral decorated front flap door showing two leather covered drawers and compartments with brass hardware. Provenance:. Baptistin Spade Family. This secretary comes from the personal collection of Baptistin Spade’s daughter, Simone, and was made on the occasion of her marriage in 1946 and remained in the family until now.
