L-shaped desk by William Billy Haines, 1960. Faux-limestone-finished case with a cantilevered desktop in ivory crackle finish lacquer. Three shallow drawers over three deep drawers, fitted for hanging file rails. From the Deutsch Estate, Beverly Hills. A similar example of this desk appears in Class Act: William Haines Legendary Hollywood Decorator by Schifando and Mathison, page 216. Good original condition. Age appropriate wear to the lacquer.
