A Handmade Art Nouveau Eagle Table Lamp, Patinated Bronze & Glass Stones, 1930s

$ 13,871
  • Description
    An exceptionally large hand made table lamp hammered and cast from bronze with beautiful coloured chunk glass decorations. This lamp depicts an eagle of mythical features holding the shade with its beak. The head of the eagle itself has a light bulb and can be switched off seperately while the main light inside the shade is turned on. It seems that the eyes of the eagle have been repaired at one point with a mesh like pattern allowing the light to filter through as originally intended.
    The lamp has a beautiful patina and it's in working condition.
    It is hard to say about the origin of the lamp, but we could find one oneline on sale with a mention of Austrian or Spanish origin. We would agree more with the Austrian and/or Mid-European origin. The lamp itself was acquired from a collector's clearance in Finland.
