Poliarte Wall Applique Amber and Cristallo Glass, Italy 1970s
-
Description
Poliarte, a sublabel of the Albano Poli company, was established in 1970 and quickly gained recognition for its bold and innovative lighting designs. Renowned for pushing the boundaries of glass artistry, Poliarte expertly combines form and function, creating lighting pieces that elevate any interior with their sculptural quality and timeless charm.
Design
This wall applique exemplifies Poliarte's mastery of glasswork. It features four cubic glass elements, each with a concave design that captures and diffuses light in mesmerizing ways. Two cubes are crafted from clear glass, while the remaining two are infused with a rich amber hue, offering a striking interplay of color and texture. The cubes are mounted on a discreet aluminum backplate, which houses an E14 light fixture. When illuminated, the applique emits a warm and inviting glow, enhancing its visual and ambient appeal.
This Poliarte wall applique is more than just a lighting solution; it is a work of art that transforms its surroundings. Its clean lines and thoughtful use of materials make it a perfect representation of 1970s Italian design, embodying both the artistry and functionality Poliarte is celebrated for.
