Art Deco Hand Painted Ziggurat Ceiling Pendant, Finland 1940s

Sold Sold
  • Description
A lovely small Art Deco Finnish lamp with a ziggurat style opaline glass shade that is hand painted with red concentric circles around the rims. The lamp is not stamped and hence a bit difficult to attribute, but many leading Finnish companies have produced such lamps like Taito, Idman and Orno. The glass shade is most probably from the Kauklahden glass factory that produced these hand painted shades and also glass vases.

The shade is in perfect condition, but the upper part has some ware and really small cracks in the metal that are consistent with it's age of around 80 years. A real beauty for a small space or a corner in the art deco lovers home.
