Boréns Borås Table/Desk Lamp in Brass, Wood and Lacquered Metal, Sweden, 1950s

Description
This very rare desk/table lamp was produced by Boréns in Borås, Sweden. The model is numbered 8257 and it was produced in the 1950s.
The design is marked by the conical metal lampshade, lacquered in a textured black paint on the exterior side. The shade is adjustable up and down into different positions. The rhombus-shaped perforations throughout the upper and lower parts of the shade create a beautiful effect when illuminated. Curved brass stem with a handle in solid, stained beech wood. The ring-shaped metal base features the same lacquered textured black finish as the shade. The light switch is on the cord.
The lamp is in very good condition, with a nice patina on the brass. Minor signs of wear. Currently wired with a 220V European plug. -
