This very rare floor lamp was designed by Carl Fagerlund and produced by AB Orrefors Glasbruk in Sweden in the 1950s. The piece is marked with a metal tag reading "RD 1176 AB ORREFORS GLASBRUK" on the underside of the base.
The design features a circular mahogany wood base, slightly raised on four brass feet. An elegant central pillar, crafted from a combination of tapered solid mahogany and brass, rises from the base. The brass shade holder showcases striking zigzag edges and is equipped with a white push button. The beautiful shade, with its undulating upper rim, is made of sandblasted glass and adorned with a decorative leaf pattern throughout. This creates a dramatic and eye-catching effect when the lamp is illuminated.
The lamp is in good original condition, with some wear and minor imperfections on the wooden base consistent with age and use. It is currently fitted with a 220V European plug.
