Christian Techoueyres for Maison Jansen brass palm tree lamp 1970s
-
Description
This beautiful palm tree table lamp is one of the most iconic Maison Jansen pieces from the 1970s era, designed by Christian Techoueyres. It’s made largely from bright brass, which gives it an air of high-end glamour. What makes the Jansen palm tree pieces most extraordinary is the level of detail that went into every aspect, individual pieces of brass have been shaped around the trunk to look and feel like the coastal tree’s bark, as well as the leaves. There are three light fixtures above the palm, hanging just below the leaves, so that from a distance it’s unclear where the warm light is coming from. Fully restored, electrified, and found in a very good vintage condition, this piece will instantly transform a space with its lavish parisian 1970s flair.
