This is a 20th century modern prototype handmade lamp in aluminum with circuit boards from Hughes Aircraft Company as the "shade". It's 24.5" high and about 12" deep at its deepest. Very unique and interesting industrial design.

It is signed, titled, and dated: David Gale, "Mr. Gleem", 6-88.
