Erik Höglund (1932-1998)
The artist that renewed the Swedish art glass

Born in Karlskrona, Sweden. He studied at The Stockholm School of Art, Craft and Design 1948-53 as well as graphics studies under Harald Sallberg 1951-52. He evolved into a Painter, Sculptor, Graphic Artist and Designer.
Between 1953 through 1973 he collaborated with Boda Glasswork where he transferred his characteristic and expressive artistic style from painting and sculpturing into the material of glass. The result is said to have revolutionized the art of Swedish glass.
