Extendable and articulated floor lamp, by Maison Stablet, France circa 1940/1950

Description
Modernist floor lamp/ reading lamp, tubular metal structure forming, in a single movement, a circle with a red lacquered base, from which rises the polished brass shaft topped by a ball-and-socket joint supporting a tubular arm also in brass, movable, finished by an annular ring housing the diabolo shade, on ball-and-socket joint. Recent cotton lampshade, redone to match the original. Signed Stablet under the base.
Maison Stablet was active between 1925 and 1960.
