  • Description
Very large cut glass chandelier in the style of F&C Osler
    English, 20th Century
    Height 390cm, diameter 174cm

Crafted from cut glass in the early 20th century, this superb chandelier celebrates the style of works produced by the renowned English firm F&C Osler.

Three levels of the chandelier feature illumination, each tier of a different size and design. The upper tier is filled with several scroll arms terminating with prominent cut glass bobeches. The middle part of each arm is filled with an ornate feature which includes notched prism pendants. This is topped by an elaborate cut glass finial. The middle tier is the smallest, creating an elegant break between the larger features. The glass arms drape down and terminate with bobeches. The last tier is of the largest shape and is similar to the top one. It includes more intricate pieces such as the cut-glass hanging finials.

A central stem that supports all chandelier pieces is adorned with a number of slender cut glass pieces. In between some of them are additional bowl-shaped parts with a plethora of hanging beaded pendants.

Of a very impressive size, this chandelier is sure to illuminate and add grandeur to the appropriate interior space.
