Four Neoclassical style gilt bronze two-light sconces
-
Description
The gilt bronzes sconces are identically designed in an elegant Neoclassical style. The stems of the sconces are shaped like arrow quivers, which are each mounted with two arms. These arms have foliate bases, which are draped with tasselled fabrics. Their ends are fluted, and terminate in wide, leafy drip-pans topped by foliate and fluted capitals.
Laurel leaf wreaths encircle the tops of the quiver-shaped stems. These are tied with ribbons, which extends upwards and back to form a bow.
These sconces will make delightful additions to a finely furnished interior, either antique or contemporary in its style. -
