Description
This highly elegant Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Leaf Sconces is by the esteemed glass artist Franco Luce and originates from Italy, Circa 1970. They feature an elegant vertical profile of gently sweeping curves and linear striations within the body of the leaf form citrine and cream glass shades. The shade is attached to the frame by a beautifully tapered translucent glass stem at the bottom. A custom formed geometric brass clip hugs the stem and then angles backwards to the angular brass frame, the geometry of which contrasts beautifully with the sumptuous organic forms of the hand-blown glass. Elegant and stunning to the eye diffusing light through the shades, these beautiful sconces will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Spaces. Newly rewired to American Standards, takes one candelabra base bulb per sconce achieving up to 60 watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
Italy, circa 1970 -
