French 1890s Iron and Copper Wall Lantern with Four Lights and Scrolling Bracket

$ 3,950
  • Description
    A French iron wall lantern from the late 19th century, with four lights, glass panels, and scrolling bracket. Created in France during the last decade of the 19th century at a time when the Impressionist roamed the countryside in search of inspiration, this iron lantern features a tapering top with copper canopy, sitting above four glass panels securing a straight brass shaft to which four slender scrolling arms are connected. These arms support cream colored candles sleeves. The lantern has been professionally rewired for the USA, using high quality parts including UL approved sockets. The lower section is sans glass and presents four curving stretchers. These stretchers are resting on a long bracket with rusty appearance and scrolling motifs, which will secure the lantern to the wall. With its clean lines and industrial character, this French iron wall lantern circa 1890 will bring a touch of simple authenticity to any home décor! Two additional similar lanterns also available.
