Description
French bevelled glass and brass lantern
French, 20th Century
Height 83cm, diameter 52cm
Made from brass and bevelled glass, this large lantern is finely crafted in the Neoclassical style. It is supported by six scrolled brackets, which combine at the top to create a scrolling corona. The lantern itself is hexagonal, with each side featuring four panes of bevelled glass and a stained diamond shape pane to the centre, which is peach-orange coloured.
The lantern features light fittings within, with four lights on a top tier and six lights below. -
