Description
French bevelled glass and polished brass lantern
French, 20th Century
Height 159cm, diameter 93cm
Made from brass and bevelled glass, this large lantern is finely crafted in the Neoclassical style. It is supported by eight scrolled brackets, which combine at the top to create a scrolling corona. The lantern itself is octagonal, with each side featuring four panes of bevelled glass and a stained diamond shape pane to the centre, which is peach-orange coloured.
As it no longer features its light fittings, the lantern either be refitted with light fixtures or used as a decorative ceiling hanging. -
