Description
A French nine-light crystal chandelier from the mid-19th century, with iron armature. Born in France during the reign of King Louis-Philippe, this exquisite chandelier features a central crystal column, surrounded by a ring of pendeloques and rosettes in its upper section, leading our eye to discover the delicate obelisks of the next section. An iron armature supports the nine lights, the bobèches and their candles sleeves. Accented with a large circular faceted finial in its lower portion, the chandelier exudes a stylish presence. With its vertical silhouette and contrasting colors, this French Louis-Philippe period crystal chandelier circa 1840 will enliven any home beautifully, perhaps hung in a dining room, living room or foyer. It is wired for the US and is ready to be hung.
