French Turn of the Century Painted Six-Light Chandelier with Scrolling Arms
-
Description
A French Turn of the Century wooden chandelier from the early 20th century, with six lights, richly carved décor, C-scroll arms and rustic wash painted finish. Created in France at the Turn of the Century in the 1900s, this wooden chandelier captures our attention with its richly carved décor and elegant arms. Made of a central column with fluting and carved motifs, the chandelier showcases six stunning C-scroll arms with acanthus leaves from which seem to spring cornucopia style sections. They support flaring bobèches and their antique ivory color beeswax candle covers. Rewired for the USA with UL approved sockets, the chandelier is strengthened with turned arms and rectangular block joints in its lower section, followed by a flower shaped motif giving a perfect conclusion to the ensemble. Painted in a rustic wash, this French Turn of the Century carved chandelier circa 1900 will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a dining room or living room!
