This beautifully fabricated Mid-Century Modernist Saucer Articulating Floor Lamp in Brass and Black Enamel by Gerald Thurston originates from the United States, Circa 1960. This gorgeous floor lamp features a curved top form base in black enamel leading to a brass rod with an extendable function, supporting an articulating hinge supporting the black enamel handle. This sculptural handle allows the user to position the light with ease, on the other end is the head of the lamp, a saucer form element in black enamel with lovely brass fittings. The shade is a frosted glass diffusing the light and contrasting well with the other material elements of the floor lamp. An elegant piece with sophisticated construction and proportions, this floor lamp will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, and in Excellent Vintage Condition. This lamp accommodates one Edison Based Bulb offering 100 watts of light.
