2 elegant, Timeless French Mid-Century Modern wrought iron and parchment table lamps attributed to master French ironworker, Gilbert Poillerat, 1940.
The piece shows the highest levels of design and craftmanship. The piece possesses a riveting combination of purity of materials and simplicity of execution. Upon a cutout and hammered oval base 2 hammered flat bars rise and are combined into 1 stem by means of rivets. A parchment shade pierces the stem as if it is floating transcendently.
The iron is exclusively hand-hammered with Hammer marks visible and is riveted. The parchment shade is hand sewn.
Priced and sold as individual pieces.
