Pair of Gunnar Borg Glazed Stoneware Table Lamps, Höganäs, Sweden, 1960s
-
Description
This rare pair of table lamps was designed by Gunnar Borg and produced by his own ceramic workshop 'Gunnars Keramik' in Höganäs, Sweden in the 1960s. The lamps are signed on the bottom of the base. The hand-turned stoneware base is made of sandstone and has been glazed. The beautifully hand painted stoneware is in different shades of brown in an abstract camouflage pattern. The drum shaped shade is in a natural ivory color fabric which offers a nice contrast with the brown shades of the base. The lamps are in very good original condition with a renewed shade. Currently with a 220V European plug. The listed dimensions are of the lamps including the shades.
