Description
This striking table lamp was designed by Gunnar Nylund and produced in Sweden in the 1960s. Nylund, renowned for designing many classics for the Swedish ceramic factory Rörstrand, created one of his most famous series, Rubus, in 1965. The series includes stoneware items such as bowls and vases. The base is marked on the bottom with Rörstrand’s symbol (R), "GN" for Gunnar Nylund, Sweden, and the model/size number 6.
The elegant base is finished with a mottled matte glaze in green tones, showcasing beautiful hues of teal, mint, and rich green. The carved, gouged surface gives the lamp a wonderful texture and depth. The drum shade has been renewed in a linen-textured ivory fabric.
Overall in very good, fully original condition with minimal wear. Rewired with European wiring and a 220V plug. Renewed shade. -
