This graphic and dramatic pair of modernist sconces were realized in Murano, Italy, the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature circular glass shades in hand-blown frosted Murano glass with six tapered spear-like brass forms, creating a dramatic starburst effect. Each of the brass "spears" have beveled edges, creating a bifurcated appearance that gives them a dynamic presence from any angle. With their impeccable construction and clean modernist lines, these sconces would be a winning addition to any style of interior from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. Each sconce accommodates two candelabra based bulbs offering up to 120 watts of light. Italy, 21st Century
