1950s Mauri Almari glass & rattan table lamp for Idman Oy, Finland. A sculptural model executed in brass, blown opaline glass and hand wrapped in rattan. The shade can be raised and lowered. Reminiscent of Paavo Tynell's iconic designs for Taito Oy. An incredibly refined table lamp that is quintessentially Finnish in its conception and execution.

A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the innovative work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer for collectors in the know.

Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Accommodates a single 60w equivalent medium base bulb. Rewired with double twist black cloth cord and period styled US wall plug. Some age appropriate wear, scuffs, dings, nicks, bends and patination as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
