Description
Yki Nummi '1955' Pendant for Innolux Oy in White. Designed in 1955, Nummi's innovative design is formed by two cone-shaped shades, the top is of white acrylic and the bottom pressure turned painted aluminum. As Nummi once astutely observed, ”People don’t buy lamps, they buy light”. This radiant directs its beautiful light both upwards and downwards. This authorized re-edition is made in Finland with the highest quality materials by Innolux Oy.

Yki Nummi (1925-1984) is considered one of the most remarkable mid-century Scandinavian designers. He worked as lighting designer for the Finnish Stockmann-Orno Luminaire factory from 1950-1975 and designed hundreds of light fixtures during this period. Nummi’s best-known luminaires are the Modern Art table lamp and the Lokki pendant lamp, also known as “The Flying Saucer”.
Accommodates 1x 75 watt equivalent standard medium base LED bulb; Metal canopy with 6.5 ft of European wired cord. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Please contact dealer to facilitate.
