A wonderful table lamp in full brass designed by Jonas Hidle and manufactured by Høvik Lys in Norway in the 1970s-1980s. As typical with Scandinavian Design this lamp is very simple yet elegant. Brass is favoured by Scandinavian designers because of the impression of warmth it creates in an interior. The lamp is in very good original condition. This model is a part of the designers iconic "shoemaker" series, and is very tasteful indeed. The item features two stamps (refer to pictures).
Høvik Lys was a Norwegian lighting manufacturing company through out the 20th century, and infact left the biggest mark on Norwegian lighting with their renowned designers such as Jonas Hidle. To this day their Scandinavian Modern style resonates with people all around the world. -
