Pair of “Saga” sconces, designed by architect Kay Kørbing for Lyfa.
The base is in polished brass, the shade support in black lacquered brass and the shade in thick Orrefors glass.
They can be positioned either with the glass shade facing downwards or upwards. The perforated back diffuses light beautifully.
Story
Lyfa is a Danish design lighting company founded in 1903.
In the 1950s, Lyfa established an international reputation for original, high-quality modernist lamps. In the post-war period, the company collaborated with renowned architects and designers to produce minimalist, sculptural pieces. He was considered a pioneer of innovative architectural lighting. -
