Description
Designed by Kurt Versen in the 1930s, these 4 minimalist satin chrome NOS wall sconces were produced in the early 1960s. They are finished in satin chrome with white interior bowls. These minimalist wall sconces have the molded Kurt Versen company signature on the verso of the backs, retain their original labels and have never been installed. These sconces can also be used for downward lighting. Kurt Versen was born in Sweeden and studied in Germany at the Polytech School. An avid modernist, he participated in 4 of the major US Expositions of the 1930s and the1937 Paris Expo. He continued to participate in Good Design exhibits through the 1940s and 1950s, winning several citations along the way.
