Large French gilt bronze wall sconces

Each twelve-branch sconce in this pair, both crafted from gilt bronze in the Louis XV style, is unusually large. Each sconce features three tiers of branches, the lowest tier featuring the largest branches, each of which is beautifully scrolled. The gilt bronze throughout is superbly cast and finished, with rich foliate detailing adorning every surface. Most remarkably, two female figures, cast from gilt bronze, adorn the central column of each sconce, granting the pair of sconces a charming Rococo flourish.
