Large Italian light in copper repousse and opaline shade, hand-made in "stile Liberty" (the Italian variant of Art Nouveau) circa 1900-1920. Hand-hammered repousse bird and floral swag decoration adorns this simple shaped fixture. One large hand-blown opaline shade covers a cluster of three lower lights. Four additional lights which accommodate flat bulbs radiate around the fixture. A single down-turned light is at the top. Includes chain and a canopy (listed measurements do not include chain).

Origin: Italy Period: 1900-1919 Materials: Copper repousse and opaline glass Condition: Good. Wear consistent with age and use. All original parts, but newly wired for use within the USA. Copper developed beautiful natural patina. Style is transitional: Art Nouveau and Deco. Some minor distress to finish of glass. Patina on copper.
