Description
Pair of 'Kastrup' Wall Lamps Attributed to Vilhelm Lauritzen for Louis Poulsen. Originally designed in the 1937 as part of Lauritzen's iconic work for the Copenhagen Airport, this rare and elegant pair is executed in opaline glass and white and black painted metal. A lyrical and elegant Danish modern design with a sculptural form characteristic of Lauritzen's most refined work.
Vilhelm Lauritzen was one of the most innovative Danish modern lighting designers of the midcentury era. His incomparable designs have been long sought after by collectors worldwide.
Price is for the pair.
Professionally rewired for US electrical with new socket. Accommodates a single 60w equivalent bulb. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from an authorized 3rd party vendor for an additional fee. Contact us to facilitate. Some scuffs, dings, nicks and marks as largely shown in the images noted only for accuracy. Please note only one representative example of the lamps shown in the images, but both are in comparably good condition. -
