19TH CENTURY LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE TWELVE LIGHT CHANDELIER
The central rod extending to a Greek vase with handles in the Greek key form and swags of cloth hanging from them reaching to two lion masks on the front and obverse sides. Below. six arms extend from six acorn finials on a central urn, each arm split into two and decorated with acanthus leaves and scrolling metalwork terminating in finely cast cups and bobeches.
With 12 French candles on finely cast and incised ornate tiered arms decorated with acanthus leaves.
Currently electrified for the UK with French candles with E10 bulb holders. France, circa 1880.
