Description
This rare floor lamp was produced by the Swedish manufacturer Möller Armatur in Eskiltuna in the late 1950s. The lamp is marked with the manufacturers stamp MAE on the bottom of the base.
The striking design is characterized by the slightly raised, circular base in solid teak wood resting on three brass feet. The central stem is a combination of solid teak wood with a brass tubular pipe and a brass ring detail at the bottom. The two individual arms on top of the fixture are also executed in the same materials, each leading to a separate brass bulb fitting. Each fitting with an individual push button. The design is completed by the single rectangular lamp shade with curved sides. This is the original pleated shade mounted on a specific height so the two elegant arms of the design are still visible. Pleasant and soft light distribution through the shade.
Fully functioning, the wiring has been checked and currently with a 220V European plug. Very good original condition, the brass with a nice patina. The original lamp shade with a few minor stains, we recommend replacing the lamp shade or recovering it in a new fabric. -
