Description
Pair of 1970s wall lights by Maija Liisa Komulainen for Raak. They consist of three lightly copper brushed aluminum tubes, contrasted by a white enamel inside the tubes. The “Fuga” model is reminiscent of organ pipes hiding different light sources.
Maija Liisa Komulainen (1922-): Finnish interior and industrial designer, graduated from the Helsinki Institute of Crafts and Design in 1949. She designed lighting for the Dutch manufacturer Raak in Amsterdam, such as the "Cantharelle" lamp in copper-coloured anodized aluminium, and the “Fuga” wall lights.
Condition: Fair with age and use, some small scratches inside, hidden by bulbs. Electrification redone. Manufacturer's label (see photo). -
