Elegant, rare and timeless pair of mineral crystal geode table by the renowned French mid-20th century interior designer and architect, Marc Duplantier. The raw rock crystal is delicately set in sober, handmade, bronzed wrought iron table lamp bases to form an elegant composition. Shades are composed of linen with silk lined interiors. The lamps are finished with brown silk cord with switches on the cord. They are currently wired for 1 candelabra socket (60 watts) each. Base alone dimensions: H 15 x 10.5 x 4" Shade alone dimensions: H 8.25 x 21 x 13 Literature: Marc Du Plantier, by Yves Badetz, Editions Norma, Paris, for similar models. Provenance: Information available upon request. Related artists: Jean-Michel Frank also created rock crystal lighting in France, circa 1935.
