Description
Marianne Brandt was a German painter, sculptor, photographer, metalsmith, and designer. She studied at the Bauhaus in Weimar and became head of the Metal Workshop in Dessau in 1928. While initially focused on painting and sculpture, she is best known for her elegant industrial designs for household objects, such as lamps and ashtrays.
Iconic Bauhaus desk lamp by Marianne Brandt (1893-1983), manufactured by Kandem. This type of glass base in this model is the most sought after.
