1950s Perforated Black Metal Diabolo Wall Lamp Attributed to Mauri Almari. A rare and elegant design executed in sculptural black painted perforated metal with attractively patinated brass arm. Unmarked.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new period-style black backplate added for mounting over standard US j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor for additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
