1950s Perforated Red Diabolo Plug-In Wall Lamp Attributed to Mauri Almari. A rare and elegant design executed in sculptural red painted perforated metal with attractively patinated brass arm and black backplate. Retains original manufacturer's sticker.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by collectors.
Accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new period-styled US wall plug. Retains original European cable, switch, and backplate. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor for additional fee. Contact us to facilitate.
