This unique and beautiful Mid-Century Modernist Expansive Sputnik Chandelier in Patinated Brass & Black Enamel W/Molded Lily Form Shades & Florets originates from France, Circa 1950. This piece features a lovely composition of curved arms expanding from a spherical element in the center of the chandelier. The brass arms extend with black enamel conical elements, ending in molded glass tulip form shades. Glass florets extend on smaller rods in between the primary arms of the chandelier adding a lovely rhythm and balance of detailing. The rod of the chandelier is spaced with additional molded glass elements. A beautiful piece with elegant proportions and beautiful materials, this chandelier will style brilliantly in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American standards, and with a height that can be adjusted to suit. This piece accommodates 10 bayonet base bulbs achieving up to 600 watts of light. In Excellent vintage condition.
