This monumental and beautifully formed Mid-Century Modernist Walnut Floor Lamp W/ Tripod Base and Custom Shade from Estate of Tierry Despont originates from the United States during the latter half of the 20th Century. Features three equidistantly spaced tapered walnut supports rising upwards and jutting at right angles to surround the central brass rod of the floor lamp, rising to the internal structure which supports a custom textural shade in a warm grey tone, beautifully diffusing the light and balanced proportionally with the scale of the floor lamp. A cylindrical element extends downwards adding additional detail with a chain that can possibly be used to stabilize the piece to the floor. This striking piece is certainly a statement in scale and quality, and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, this piece is in Excellent Vintage condition. Accommodates 5 Edison Based bulbs offering 500 watts of light.
