This stunning set of three High Style Art Deco pendant chandeliers were realized by master Émile Jacques Ruhlmann- one of the most celebrated and influential designers in history- for "Galerie Le Bon Marché" in France, circa 1920. Designed by Ruhlmann and manufactured by Holophane, these chandeliers are replete with a wealth of geometric and cubist motifs, including faceted conical canopies full of volumetric triangular forms that connect to the original striated rods, all in lustrous bronze. The rods attach to convex ovoid bodies with beveled pyramidal cubist forms also in bronze with alternating negative triangular spaces, imbuing the pieces with a subtle dynamism and transparency. The streamlined striated prismatic glass shades that hang above the textured translucent rectilinear bottom shade with a circular mouth are held in place by skyscraper style supports in bronze. These chandeliers are as iconic as they are stunning, sure to delight discerning collectors of the period as well as those with a penchant for exquisite objects. Their clean lines and beautiful detailing make them as versatile as they are gorgeous, blending with any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. They have been newly rewired and are in excellent vintage condition. They are available individually for $12,475 each.
