Description
The Projecteur pendant was designed by Le Corbusier for the Chandigarh High Court in India in 1954. The body of this light is composed of painted aluminium, making it very light in weight. It has a curved glass diffuser with a sandblasted inner part. The screws and smaller metal parts are black chromed.
Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris otherwise known as Le Corbusier, was a Swiss architect, artist, designer, urban planner and writer, best known for his achievements in modern architecture. His most important architectural works include Villa Savoye in Poissy (1929-1931), Unit Habitation in Marseille (1947-1952), the city of Chandigarh in India (1954) and Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp (1955).
