Description
Mid-Century Modernist 10 Arm Sculptural Brass Chandelier by Oscar Torlasco, Lumi
$14,475.00
This dynamic and elegant Mid-Century Modernist 10 Arm Sculptural Brass Chandelier is designed by Oscar Torlasco for the company Lumi and originates from Italy, Circa 1955. Features a brilliant composition of ten equidistantly spaced sculptural arms, sleek and minimal yet well utilizing natural reference, reminiscent of antlers. These arms extend from a round central housing also in polished brass, from which an upward facing elongated conical brass detail rises to the rod, ending in a downward facing conical canopy. This piece features exposed bulbs that fully illuminate both the surrounding space and the polished brass body of the Chandelier in a spectacular manner. Oscar Torlasco is an esteemed Italian designer who designed lighting for a number of manufacturers over his career, with his best known pieces designed for Lumi and still highly coveted to this day. This Chandelier is a true gem and will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired for American Standards with height that can be adjusted to suit, this piece takes 10 Candelabra based bulbs achieving up to 600 Watts of light. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
