Known for drawing inspiration from nature, Paavo Tynell captured its essence in this design - a metal frame gracefully bent into the shape of eight leaves. The share is covered in nylon fabric, and the light is softly diffused through an opal glass shade. Due to post-war material shortages, sourcing supplies was challenging, but Idman managed to obtain parachute fabric for their lighting production. The nylon used here is likely a remnant from their collaboration with Mr. Holman, the owner of Idman’s shade factory at Meritulli Square, who was known to "have contacts." This piece represents a significant moment in design history and is simply stunning.
